This is probably the easiest fun fold card I have ever made. And yet it is elegant in it’s simplicity. This is a great build for a masculine card or for a teen. Not only will your recipient appreciate the little twist but you will appreciate the endless ways in which you can decorate this card.

Directions
Card Base
Cut a card base from a lengthwise half sheet of Old Olive card stock, 10.5cm x 29.7cm (4-1/4″ x 11″). Score half way at 14.85cm (5-1/2″).
Place the card base flat on your work surface with the fold on your left. Fold the bottom right corner up so that the side of the card is now even with the top of the card, see photo. Try to keep the point of the upper right corner sharp. This is not an easy fold as you are working against the grain of the card stock just go slowly pressing down the diagonal crease. Once folded use a bone folder to sharpen the crease.

Front Decoration

Cut a square of Mossy Meadow card stock to 10cm x 10cm (4″ x 4″). Out of the same card stock cut a rectangle measuring 3.3cm x 10cm (3/4″ x 4″).
For the next layer cut a square of Crumb Cake card stock to 8.9cm x 8.9cm (3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″) Also cut a rectangle 2.2cm x 8.9cm (1/2″ x 4″).
The top layer is cut from the Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper. Cut a square measuring 8.5cm x 8.5cm (3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) and for the metric card only cut a rectangle measuring 1.8cm x 8.5cm.
Adhere the Nature’s Walk DSP square piece over the Crumb Cake square leaving an equal narrow border on all sides. Next adhere this piece to the Mossy Meadow square leaving a slightly larger but equal border on all sides. Repeat this process with the rectangles.

The square piece is adhered to the triangle fold only. I found it was a little easier to use Stampin’ Seal here instead of glue. Place the Seal as close to the edge of the triangle fold as you can get without going over and then cover the rest of the triangle area being sure to leave some gap at the top and side as an exposed border. See photo.
Adhere the rectangle piece to the front left side of the card using the card’s fold and the photo as a guide.
Die cut the large leaf shape from the Nature’s Symphony die set out of Mossy Meadow card stock. Cut the wood grain rectangle shape out of crumb cake card stock. Optional: cut the smaller solid leaf shape out of the Mossy Meadow card stock.
The next step is to adhere the leaf die cut to the square and if you are using the optional leaf shape, glue that one to the rectangle stack. See photo to for placement.

Stamp the greeting onto a scrap of Old Olive Card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. Trim this piece to 6cm x 2.4cm (2-3/8″ x 15/16″). Adhere this piece to the crumb cake die cut piece. Place dimensionals on the back of the now two piece, greeting and adhere to the card using the finished photo as a guide.
In the photo I had forgotten to add in the Linen Thread, I think it makes a nice addition. Just wrap a length of the Thread three times around three of your fingers, pinch together at the center and tape to the back of label before adding the dimensionals and gluing to the card front. (Other wise you will have to do like I did and thread it under the label, very fiddly, I do not recommend doing it this way.)
Inside Decorations

Cut a large rectangle 10cm x 14.35cm (5-1/4″ x 4″) from the Crumb Cake card stock. Adhere this liner to the right side of the card base leaving an equal border on all sides.
For the inside of the left side of the card, cut a rectangle 4cm x 10cm (1″ x 4″) from the Mossy Meadow card stock. Cut a layering piece of the Crumb Cake card stock to 2.9cm x 8.9cm (3/4″ x 3-3/4″). Glue these two pieces together with the Crumb Cake rectangle on top.
For the metric card only, cut a strip of Nature Walk DSP to 2.5x 8.5cm to layer over the Crumb Cake layer and adhere flat.

Because I wanted the card to be able to stand up I cut a rectangle piece of the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper to 3.3cm x 9.6cm. To add thickness to the DSP I cut another piece of the Crumb Cake card stock the exact same size and glued the DSP on top. Glue this piece to the right side of the Crumb Cake card liner.
When you twist the front flap open this extra piece will catch the bottom right corner of the card and hold the front in an upright position. The card will mostly stay open without this step but I liked the ability to bring more of the Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed this card and will make one for yourself or a loved one. I have seen many versions of this card, most were unnecessarily complicated. I thought this version was brilliant.
