I saw a similar card to this one used as example for the Adoring Hearts Bundle in the Mini Catalogue. I loved the original so much that I wanted to CASE it and show you how to make it too. This card was the reason I bought the Adoring Hearts Bundle. And if you have forgotten, CASE means Copy And Share Everything. It what we do here at Stampin’Up.

Directions

Cut a card base from Flirty Flamingo 14.85cm x 21cm (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″). Score down the center at 10.5cm (4-1/4).

Using the Most Adored Designer Series Paper cut a background layer to 14.3cm x 10cm (5-1/4″ x 4″). Glue this piece to the front of your card stock leaving an equal amount of Flirty Flamingo card stock showing on each side.

Open the the Adoring Hearts Hybird Embossing folder and place the large die cutting element inside. Slide it around a little until you feel it catch in place aligning with heart shapes. Next place in a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock 15cm x 15cm (6″x 6″). Run through your Cut and Emboss Machine be sure the ‘fold’ of your embossing folder goes into the machine first to avoid cracking the folder.

Repeat the process using a piece of Real Red card stock cut to the same size: 15cm x 15cm (6″x 6″).

Next cut three of the filigree hearts from the die set out of patterned paper. I used the fine plaid paper because I wanted the hearts to have a lighter appearance. The spots of color from the plaid combined with the thinner paper yielded a more filigree appearance than they would have if I had used the plain red card stock. In the photo I cut an example of all four of the filigree hearts included in the die set so you could see them. I used only three of them for my card.

The greeting was stamped onto Flirty Flamingo card stock using Real Red ink. It was then punched out with the Hexagonal punch. I used a blending brush, a little patience and the Flirty Flamingo Stampin Pad to darken the edges of the hexagon. Leave the center of the hexagon and the stamped area plain so they appear highlighted. Hopefully you can see, from the photo below of the half done greeting, how this halo effect can really make the stamped words pop.

Time to put it all together. I placed four Stampin Dimensionals on the back side of the greeting. Without removing the papers from the sticky side, I placed the greeting down where I wanted it to be. Next arrange the filigree hearts around the greeting. I formed a triangle with one greeting to the left, one to the top and one to the bottom of the greeting. Glue these down using a small amount of glue.

Add Stampin dimentionals to one of the Flirty Flamingo cut out hearts and one of the Real Red ones. Arrange as you can see in the picture above. Remove backing from the Stampin Dimentionals on the back of the greeting and place down.

To finish make a small bow out of the Real Red ribbon and place on the hexagonal greeting below the words. Next I placed three of the Berry Burst colored Tinsel Gems from the Tinsel Gems Four Pack onto the card for a bit of bling. I know there is no Berry Burst color anywhere on this card but I think you will agree that color of Tinsel Gem worked great on this card.

Thank you for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed it and got some good ideas from it. Happy Crafting!
