The Layout

Background

The ‘tree’ paper from the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper was used as the first layer of the back ground.

Four Strips of Cajun Craze were cut to 4cm wide (2″) and the full length of the card stock 30.5cm (12″). Two strips for the top and bottom of each page. Cut the strips diagonally from top to bottom. It is important to cut all of the strips the same. For example all four are cut from the dark side of the strip up and all for from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner.

You will need two strips cut to (1/2″) x 30.5cm (12″). These are placed at the top and bottom of the large green center piece. In my example I used the Early Expresso tiny tree pattern for the top and the Cajun Craze sticks pattern for the bottom both from the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP set. The tiny trees are the reverse side of the brown checked side. The |Cajun Craze sticks are the reverse of the pattered green side.

The green center strip is cut 14cm x 30.5 (5-1/2″ x 12″) from one of the pattered papers in the Sweet Days set.

The brown checked strip is cut 5cm x 30.5 (2″ x 12″).

The curry colored strip is used directly from the sticker sheet.

Photos

Place holders are used as I have not had time and materials to print off the photos. I choose the XXcm x XXcm(5″ x 3/1/2″) because that was the American standard back in the day, where most of these photos are coming from. If you have smaller photos you wish to use, I suggest cutting matting layers out of Early Espresso card stock to the listed photo size and place your photos inside of these blank card stock blocks.

Focal Point

The focal point was created with one of the large stickers from the sticker sheet. I stamped two of the images from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set onto Crushed Curry card stock and onto Pecan Pie using Crushed Curry ink and Pecan Pie ink respectively. These were die cut using the matching die set. The smaller leaf dies were used to cut leaves from Granny Apple Green card stock.

The backing paper was removed from the large sticker and the die cut pieces stuck down to the back. I then used some clear cello tape to cover over the remaining sticky area. The whole unit was then elevated with stampin dimensionals

Small Details

The small images on and around the photos are from the Sweet Days of Autumm sticker sheet. The small detail in the upper right corner of the right hand page is just two small pieces of the DSP cut XXcm (1″) wide cut and placed behind the photo while the small sticker will be placed over half of the photo.

Some linen thread is wrapped around the vertical photo and then tied into a bow leaving the tails to hang long.
