Directions

Cut a side opening card base from the Crumb Cake card stock, 14.85cm x 21cm (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) Score at 5.25cm and 10.5cm (2-1/8″ x 4-1/4″). Fold and burnish on the score lines. Open card out flat for the next step.

To cut the half window position your card stock, die and cutting plate as shown in the photograph and run through your die cutter. The only part of the die that will cut will be the part covered by the cutting plate.

Cut a piece of designer Series Paper to 10cm x 14.4cm (4″ x 5-1/4″). Glue this piece to the right side, inside of the card base.

Using the hybrid embossing folder fitted with the die cut out the three sand dollars from the Very Vanilla card stock. You will want to load a quarter sheet of the vanilla into the folder 10.5cm x 14.85cm (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) to be sure to get all three pieces.

Next run the three part die through your machine without the folder, cutting the sand dollar shapes with no embossing.

Match up the largest of the plain sand dollars to the back side of the cut out (see photo). Since this dye has a distinctive shape I matched it up so that I could be sure I was stamping my greeting in the correct place. Once you have your piece lined up stamp your greeting in Calypso Coral ink and glue down permanently. *Of note, if you were doing this type of card with a generic shape cut out like a rectangle, square or circle it would not matter as much getting the greeting to line up.

Stamp one of each of the star fish shapes onto a scrap of Calypso Coral card stock using the Calypso Coral ink and die cut out.

Cut out one of round coral-like shapes from the Calypso Coral card stock.

Cut one each of the three plant fond shapes from a scrap of Summer Splash card stock.

Fold your card out flat. Use the stone shaped stamps to stamp along the bottom of the right side of the card with Crumb Cake ink. Next use the dot cluster stamp and the Crumb Cake ink to add random dots to the upper half of the left side of the card.

Glue down the card elements as shown in the photos.

I finished by looping Linen Thread several time back on itself and laying it down on some of the shredded 3/8″ Summer splash ribbon. All of the pieces were tied together in an overhand knot and stuck it to the card with a glue dot. Lastly I added some Iridescent Pearls for a bit of sparkle.

And we’re done!
